*Mini-Mini Session is available to new Tanuga campers who have just completed Grades K-1 in June 2027 (entering Grades 1-2 in Fall 2027).
**Two-Week Session is available to campers who have just completed Grades K-6 in June 2027 (entering Grades 1-7 in Fall 2027).
Visiting Weekend: Full Season campers spend July 16-18 away from camp. Full Season includes 37 nights at Camp Tanuga.

Tuition Includes lodging, meals, laundry service, all regularly scheduled camp activities and programming, and all out-of-camp trips.
Bus transportation from the Detroit area is available for an additional fee.
Store Account is optional and funded separately by parents.

Tanuga First-Summer Guarantee

We’re committed to helping every camper have a successful first summer at Tanuga and providing the extra support that first-time overnight campers may need.

We’ve found that campers often benefit from arriving knowing they have the time to settle in, find their rhythm, build friendships, and fully become part of the Tanuga community.

That’s why first-time Tanuga campers are covered by our First-Summer Guarantee. If camp is not the right fit and a first-time camper leaves before the end of their registered session, we will provide a prorated refund for the unused portion of their stay.

Payment Schedule

• A $500 deposit is due at enrollment and reserves your camper's space. The deposit includes a non-refundable $250 registration fee.
• Families may pay in full at enrollment, pay monthly automatically or manually, or choose the 3-pay option.
• Monthly Payment Plan: After the initial $500 deposit, the remaining tuition balance is divided into equal monthly installments due on the 1st of each month, with the final payment due May 1, 2027.
• 3-Pay Option: After the initial $500 deposit, the remaining tuition balance is divided into three installments due:

  All tuition balances must be paid in full by May 1, 2027.
• Families enrolling after one or more scheduled payment dates have passed will have their payment schedule adjusted accordingly.

Payment Methods

• Pay Online: Pay automatically or manually via ACH (no fee), debit card (no fee), or credit card (3% fee) in your Parent Dashboard.
• Pay by Mail: Checks payable to Camp Tanuga, 6874 Camp Tanuga Rd. NE, Kalkaska, MI 49646.

Discounts

• Sibling Discount: $250 off each additional camper living in the same household.
• 75th Anniversary Tuition Drawing: To celebrate 75 years of Camp Tanuga, the first 75 campers enrolled for Summer 2027 will be entered into our 75th Anniversary Tuition Drawing.
  Once our 75th camper is enrolled, we'll draw 10 winners in reverse order:
  2nd-10th Place: $250 tuition credit
  1st Place: $750 tuition credit
  The final name drawn will receive our special $750 75th Anniversary Tuition Credit!
  Eligible campers must have an active, confirmed Camp Tanuga residential enrollment at the time of the drawing. Tuition credits have no cash value and will be applied directly to the winning camper's 2027 Camp Tanuga tuition.
• Family Referral Program: Refer a new family to Camp Tanuga and both families receive a $250 tuition credit.
  How it works: The new family lists the referring family during registration. Referral credit is applied once the new camper's enrollment is confirmed.
  The referred family must be a new Camp Tanuga household. Referral credits may be earned for multiple new families and will be removed if the referred camper cancels their enrollment.
  Referral credits apply only to eligible Camp Tanuga residential sessions and are not valid for other programs, events, or specialty offerings.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Through December 31, 2026: $250 cancellation fee.
• January 1 - February 28, 2027: $500 cancellation fee.
• March 1 - April 30, 2027: $1,000 cancellation fee.
• May 1, 2027 or later: No refunds. Families are responsible for the full tuition for the enrolled session.

Cancellation fees will be deducted from payments already made, and any remaining eligible balance will be refunded.

No refunds or tuition reductions are provided for late arrivals, missed days, or voluntary early departures outside of the Tanuga First-Summer Guarantee.

We understand that exceptional circumstances can arise. Camp Tanuga reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to consider exceptions to this policy on an individual basis. Any exception is not guaranteed and does not establish a precedent for future cancellations or refunds.

The Tanuga First-Summer Guarantee is separate from the standard cancellation policy and provides additional flexibility for eligible first-time campers once the summer begins.
